Manitoba golf was born in Virden in 1892. As the first golf course in the province, Virden Well View Golf Club is classically designed with wide fairways and deep, windswept grassy roughs. Located just west on Highway #83 and PR#257. In 1995 the Club undertook a long-term rebuilding plan which to date has seen four new greens and even new tee boxes added. The long-range plan is to have all greens replaced and a practice area incorporated into the layout.

It is located 1.6 kilomters due west of Virden on Provincial Road # 257. The course is a nine hole course with a maximum regular total yardage of 2913.
