Manitoba talent in the spotlight

Since Winnipeg’s first live theatre performance in 1867, the city has been known for its stage productions - anchored by companies with decades of experience bringing audiences to their feet. Winnipeg’s professional theatre companies deliver the classics, modern hits, the best in Canadian drama along with works in French and just for kids.

The city’s stages shine with ballet, opera and symphonic masterpieces. Venues in Winnipeg and around the province put the spotlight on musicians, bands and local acts that make up Manitoba’s diverse live music scene. Every year, the biggest names in music descend on this prairie province to join Manitoba’s best and brightest stars for fan-favourite festivals.
