We are one of the oldest Congregations in Northern Manitoba, and our History is vast. We are honoured and blessed to be part of the Anglican Church of Canada. Christ Church is one of 3 Anglican Churches, located in our area. We became part of the Diocese of Brandon in 1929, and are pleased to also be a part of The Pas Deanery. Christ Church of The Pas was founded in 1840, and is the first Church of the Devon Mission, by Rev. Henry Budd sr.(d. Apr 2, 1875). The 3 churches, that became the heart of the Devon Mission, are Christ Church (The Pas Manitoba), Church of the Redeemer (Big Eddy), and Church of the Messiah (Opaskwayak Cree Nation). Our current church building is the second home on this same location, and it has been in use since 1896, along with many of the original furnishings from from 1840's. Today, we continue to serve the community of The Pas, and surrounding area. We do this, by remaining faithful servants, being rooted in our rich heritage of peace, and share the true love of God with all we meet.
