Roland: Giant Pumpkin

Don't wait until fall to show your love for all things pumpkin. Roland's giant gourd was built in honour of the town’s Pumpkin King, Edgar VanWyck, who grew a pumpkin large enough to make it into the Guinness Book of World Records.

Dominion City: World's Largest Sturgeon

While sturgeon aren't the most attractive fish, they are one of the most exciting to catch in Manitoba due to their humongous size. The World's Largest Sturgeon monument in Dominion City is a replication of Manitoba's biggest sturgeon ever caught. The master catch was reeled in by Sandy Waddell in 1903 and weighed in at 406 pounds and 15.5 feet long. Did we mention the fish was also 150 years old? Find the statue on the corner of Centennial and Waldell.

Altona: Sunflower Painting

Head to the Sunflower Capital of Canada to see the 76 foot sunflower painting in all its glory. Made by artist Cameron Cross, the painting is a recreation of one of Vincent Van Gogh's sunflower paintings from the late 1800s.

Altona: Sunflower Stalk

While the Sunflower Painting tends to get all the attention in Altona, don't leave town without snapping a second photo at the other sunflower attraction. The tall sunflower stalk can be found by Janzen Centennial Park.

Winkler: Butterfly

Have you ever encountered a 500 pound monarch butterfly? See it to believe it in Winkler, Manitoba. Create by Tim Klassen of Envirotech, the seven-foot-tall butterfly was unveiled in 2017 as part of the city's new butterfly garden.

Morden: Archie the Turtle

The Archelon remains the largest genus of sea turtle ever documented, weighing in at 2,200 kg. With fossil pieces of the Archelon on display at the Canadian Fossil Discovery Centre, it only makes sense that the city's roadside attractions reflect the area's ancient history. Archie the Turtle was built by dino-artist Adolfo Cuetara and is an exact replica of the turtle's massive size.

Morden: Bruce the Mosasaur

Located off of Hwy 14 heading west into Morden, the 15-metre-long sculpture of Bruce the Mosasaur is based off the fossils of the largest publicly displayed mosasaur in the world, housed in the Canadian Fossil Discovery Centre. See the real deal at the museum before heading to the roadside attraction to see a more fleshed out version of the famous aquatic reptile.

La Riviere: Wild Turkey

Fulfill a life goal by having your photo next to La Riviere's giant Wild Turkey. Standing at over 9 feet tall, the statue commemorated the town's centennial in 1986 and represents its history of being a wild turkey hunting hub in Manitoba.
