Winnipeg Jets
True North Sports and Entertainment
True North Sports and Entertainment
If ever there was a hockey city full of passionate fans, it’s right here with the Winnipeg Jets. Whether it’s a regular season game, or a playoff “Whiteout,” Jets fans come prepared to cheer on their team all season long. Take in a game at Canada Life Centre and feel the intensity of a city who loves its NHL hockey team to its very core. Nestled in the heart of Winnipeg’s downtown, the state-of-the-art arena boasts top notch dining and cold beer. Single game tickets are regularly available for purchase.
Insider tip: When the Canadian national anthem is sung take special note of the line 'True north strong and free' when fans belt out the words 'True North' with emphasis in honour of the team's owner for bringing back its NHL team after a 16 year hiatus.
Manitoba Moose
Before we had the Winnipeg Jets 2.0, we had the Manitoba Moose--Winnipeg's AHL team. If you've got kids in tow, then a Moose game is the perfect (and more affordable) alternative to all the same live hockey action and atmosphere you'll get from a Jets game, including the same rink. Don't forget to say hello to Mick E. Moose--the team's loveable mascot.
Winnipeg Blue Bombers
When the grass comes out, so do Winnipeg’s football fans. Winnipeg's CFL team, the Winnipeg Blue Bombers — also known as the blue and gold — inspires legions of fans, all inside the stunning IG Field. With back-to-back Grey Cup titles in 2019 and 2021 (the 2020 CFL season was cancelled), the Bombers are a team you won’t want to miss! Pick up your tickets and join in the festivities.
Winnipeg Goldeyes
Another Winnipeg summer sporting pastime happens at Shaw Park with the Winnipeg Goldeyes. With tickets starting as low as $10, a playground right on site, numerous delicious food options, and a beautiful air-conditioned family room, there is no better way to spend a sunny summer afternoon with the family. Situated right in downtown Winnipeg, the views from the stadium can't be beat. Don’t forget to check out their Craft Beer Corner and grab a cold one in a beer bat!
Winnipeg Sea Bears
On November 9, 2022, the Canadian Elite Basketball League announced its 10th franchise would be the Winnipeg Sea Bears. As Manitoba’s only professional basketball team since 2001, fans across the province are excited to gather around the court at Canada Life Centre on May 27, 2023.
Valour FC
When football and the occasional live music aren’t happening at IG Field, you’ll find a loud, devoted crowd in the stands for Valour FC. Winnipeg’s first Canadian Premier League soccer team, Valour FC has accumulated quite the dedicated fan base. Make sure to check out section 144 during games, otherwise known lovingly as The Trench, to witness the Red River Rising Supporters and their love for the team.
Young but mighty, Winnipeg Ice, the city’s Canadian major junior ice hockey team, offers a chance to witness amateur hockey players before they become stars. A fun and family friendly atmosphere, Wayne Fleming Arena is a smaller ice rink to bring you closer to the action no matter where you’re sitting. With tickets starting at just $27 for adult and $22 for youth (under 12), it’s a great way to enjoy excellent hockey with the whole family!
