2. Fall on the Farm

Spend Labour Day at Mennonite Heritage Village celebrating the harvest season. Watch pioneer demonstrations throughout the museum grounds and enjoy cultural food as the village marks the last weekend of summer.

Hold onto summer for one more weekend at The Weekender: Downtown’s Biggest Street Festival, presented by Manitoba Liquor & Lotteries, September 11 to 13 along Graham Avenue. This free, all-ages festival brings three days of food, music and entertainment to the heart of downtown Winnipeg, including Food Truck Wars with 30 food trucks and a market featuring Manitoba makers and small businesses. Catch live music and local performers throughout the weekend, with a Classic Car Show & Shine Friday night, Winnipeg Pro Wrestling Saturday and Bachata dancing Sunday.

Celebrate the 5th anniversary of the Neighbour by Neighbour Music Festival, a free community event that started as a simple idea in a neighbourhood garage to reconnect people. Enjoy 11 live musical performances from 1:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m., browse the farmers market and grab something from the food trucks. Families can also stop by the Kids Zone, while the community clothing swap runs throughout the day.

5. Take off on foot at Southport RUNway
September 12
Run or walk along a real airfield at Southport RUNway, with aircrafts in view throughout the course. Choose from the 5 km or 10 km route, while younger participants can take on the 1 km Kids Run. Music and photo opportunities add more to the day beyond the race.

6. Pineridge Hollow Fall Fair
September 11 to 13
