Red at the Royal Manitoba Theatre Centre Don't miss your chance to get pulled in and fully engaged at the richly-written and fast-paced Red? The Royal Manitoba Theatre Centre continues their exciting season with this compelling and engaging drama from John Logan (screenwriter of Gladiator, The Aviator, and Hugo, as well as co-writer of Skyfall). Set in the late 1950s, Red tells the story of Russian-born American artist Mark Rothko who is offered one of the greatest artistic commissions of the 20th century. With the next generation of artists nipping at his heels, Rothko struggles to create a masterpiece for an extraordinary setting. Red won six Tony Awards in 2010 (including Best New Play) and the Drama Desk Award for Outstanding Play in 2012. The show runs from November 1 to 17, 2012.  For more information or to find tickets, visit MTC.
