There's nothing but the open road ahead, so crank your engine into overdrive as the two of you bust loose and rediscover love on the highway.
Harness your inner road warrior and jump on your bike (or get in your car) to take these easy rides through the Manitoba landscape. Recharge your batteries with stops at great Manitoba sites along the way in this road-trip-worthy province.
Born to be Wild
Get your motor running as you and your partner find out how thrilling Manitoba can be. Kick-start your adventure with a little friendly competition at Grand Prix Amusements. Race each other in the adult sprint go-karts, battle in the batting cages and bash-about in the bumper boats—all before you head out on the highway looking for more adventure (or whatever comes your way). Throttle up and head north on Highway 59 to Thunder Mountain Waterslide Park near Grand Beach. Set your heart racing on the Bullet Slide as you reach speeds up to 75 kilometres per hour. Continue your wild ride to Adventures Bed and Breakfast in Lac du Bonnet for a well-earned rest.
Put on your leathers, refuel with a hearty breakfast, and then choose between a two-hour high-wire adventure or an all-day whitewater affair. Head to the Whiteshell for your private booking with WAVPaddling to bolster your whitewater kayaking skills. Trade in the highway for some fast water and big air at Sturgeon Falls on the Winnipeg River, then hold on tight as you surge and crash on Manitoba's hottest paddling destination. Find some high-stakes adventure at Hy-Wire Zipline, southwest of Morden. Run, jump and dive from platforms on to ziplines that dangle you 150 feet off the ground as you and your mate skim cross a ravine and the treetops.

Crazy Little Thing Called Love
Get ready, Freddie, to ride to your romantic getaway. Brake for the town of Arden off of Highway 16 – park the bikes and stretch your legs on a walk through the beautiful and romantic gardens. Cross the swinging bridge over the Whitemud River in the “Crocus Capital of Manitoba”. Hold your other half tight as you gear up for Neepawa. Visit the Margaret Laurence Home, a museum dedicated to this cherished Manitoba writer. Pick up a copy of The Stone Angel or one of her other famous novels to read together. Head over to the Neepawa Lily Festival in July to score a beautiful bouquet for your significant other. Ride on to Tilson Place Bed and Breakfast in Minnedosa where the two of you can indulge in manicures, pedicures or relaxation massages in their day spa.
Next morning at the B&B, savour an intimate breakfast in the Princess Shannon's Conservatory before hitting the highway to Asessippi Provincial Park. Work as a team to climb the steep ridges along the Ancient Valley Self-Guiding Trail. Get a little crazy after that – go river tubing at the Asessippi Ski Area and Resort. Enjoy a candlelit dinner at Station Café in Roblin before heading to the Russell Inn and your jungle-themed suite. Treat yourselves by sleeping in before turning homeward.

Born to Run
Roll up Highway 9 because baby, you were born to run—to Manitoba's Interlake! Cruise to Lockport and channel your fishing skills on an adventure with Cats on the Red. Haul in a monster catfish so big it will take both of you to land it. Take a run up the Red River to Lower Fort Garry National Historic Site of Canada, and see what life for couples was like over 150 years ago in the Farm Manager's House. Crash for the night and relax in the hot tub at Evergreen Gate Bed and Breakfast before cuddling together in your romantic theme room. Indoor motorcycle parking available.
In the morning, hightail it to Selkirk and the Marine Museum of Manitoba. While you won't find the Love Boat, you can tour the S.S. Keenora, which operated in Manitoba over 100 years ago. Ride north to Winnipeg Beach and split an ice cream cone as you meander along the boardwalk. Ignite the passion and curl up together for a movie in your room at Gimli's Lakeview Resort on the shores of Lake Winnipeg.
Shop until one of you drops at the unique shops of Gimli. Be sure to visit H.P. Tergesen & Sons Store, the oldest operating store in Manitoba. Brake for the New Iceland Heritage Museum before gobbling down fresh fish and chips for lunch – don't forget to try some vinaterta! Enjoy afternoon together along the Gimli harbour front or lounge on the beach before gearing up to go home.
