Screen-Free Sundays: Easter Egg Dyeing

Apr 05

  • Admission: $5 per person
  • Time: 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM

Did you know that you can use onion skins and blueberries to make the most beautiful Easter eggs you have ever seen? Ditch those screens and join us to learn about how the Victorians used to dye their Easter eggs using ingredients from their kitchens. In this activity you will get a history lesson all about dying Easter eggs, get to visit the kitchen in the historic house, and get to dye your very own Easter egg to take home.

This activity is part of a new series we called Screen-Free Sundays that will happen on the first Sunday of the month through the summer. Be sure to check out the other events and book your tickets in advance. We will not be accepting walk-ups during this program. This activity is open to children and their adults only, please note children must be supervised at all times. Best suited to children ages 6-12 years old.

Ticket price includes optional self-guided exploration of the Dalnavert historic house.
