  • Admission: Earlybird Weekend Pass $100 for adults, $80 for seniors, $50 for youth, includes camping, communal feasts, and most workshops.

It's the second year for Kupalo (pronounced Ku-PAH-lo!) Fest, a unique camping, feasting, crafting and dancing festival where cultures come together to celebrate Summer Solstice in Garland, Manitoba. Metis and Ukrainian music and dancing on Friday night, Saturday night features contempory world DJs.

Daily workshops include:

•Wheat-weaving •Ukrainian Herbalism•Italian divination•Sash weaving•Music jam and exploration•Broom making•Juggling•Wildcrafting•Polyphonic singing•Metis and Ukrainian Social Dancing•Acro yoga.

A bazaar with vendors, and hot sourdough bread fresh from the wood-fired oven will be on the townsite Saturday and Sunday. Father's Day Pancake Breakfast will be served by the Elthelbert Volunteer Fire Department.

Kupalo is for everyone who is interested is getting off the beaten trail to meet people, share culture, and honour new and traditional connections to Solstice with rustic on-site camping near founder Anastaisa Fyk's vintage Vickers VIscount airplane. Everyone is welcome to celebrate for three days of culture, music, dance, workshops, and ceremony!
