618 ARTlington will once again be open for Doors Open Winnipeg! This free annual event by Heritage Winnipeg invites the public to explore some of Winnipeg’s most fascinating historic buildings while celebrating the city’s architectural and cultural heritage.
Built in 1912 by the Northland Knitting Co, 618 ARTlington was transformed in 2012 using reclaimed materials, eclectic antiques, and a distinctive design approach. Today, the building is home to more than 30 artists and blends historic character with contemporary creativity. This year also marks the first Doors Open with both our fourth floor and newly renovated lower level open for self-guided tours!
In addition, 20+ artists will have their studios open to visitors. Meet artists, watch demos, explore creative spaces, and learn more about both the artwork and the building’s history. Visitors are also encouraged to participate in the People’s Choice Award, Social Media Contest, and Golden Boy Scavenger Hunt!
