Celebrate Canada Day on the banks of the Red River with an unforgettable day of music, family activities, food, fireworks, and community spirit. The free outdoor event runs from 4:00 pm to midnight and has something for all ages — just bring a lawn chair and enjoy summer at the Selkirk Waterfront.

Live performances begin at 4:00 pm and will feature a diverse lineup of music and entertainment, including Hold on Surely, Al Simmons, Mach 10, and Les Barn Boys. Whether you’re relaxing by the water or dancing near the stage, the Waterfront stays lively all night long, leading into Selkirk’s spectacular fireworks display at 11:00 pm, the best in the Interlake.

From 4:00 to 8:00 pm, families can enjoy a wide range of kid-friendly fun and entertainment. Glitter Bug will be on site offering glitter tattoos, while Kurrent Motion gets everyone moving with their energetic Hula Hoop Jam. The Bubble Barn will bring a blizzard of bubbly fun with its interactive, musical bubble-art experience featuring bubbles of all sizes for all ages to enjoy. The City’s Block Party Trailer will also be set up with games and outdoor play equipment. Plus, Mister Squiggly will be there twisting balloons and entertaining guests with over 30 years of clowning experience.

Running from 4:00 to 10:00 pm, the Bud & Bloom Makers Market features a curated collection of 100% handmade goods from local artisans. Browse unique items like honey, soaps, jewelry, and sweet treats while enjoying the sights and sounds of Canada Day at the Waterfront.
