Come experience the 36th Annual ISA Prairie Chapter Tree Climbing Competition at Kildonan Park in Winnipeg!

Watch up to 44 professional arborists from Manitoba, Saskatchewan and Alberta compete high in the trees, demonstrating the skill, athleticism and safety required in professional arboriculture. Competitors will take on exciting challenges involving tree climbing, aerial rescue, rope and equipment handling, and movement through the tree canopy.

Saturday, August 22 is the BIG day for spectators, with competition events taking place throughout the day.

Bring the whole family! Kids can experience tree climbing themselves at our FREE Kids Climb, where professional arborists will help young climbers safely get off the ground and into the trees.

Visitors can also explore tree information displays and vendor booths, meet arborists and industry professionals, and learn more about the people and equipment that help care for our urban forest.

The competition concludes Sunday with the Masters’ Challenge, where the top climbers compete to become the 2026 Prairie Chapter Champions.
