The first event will take place on Wednesday, September 16, when The Right Honourable Michaëlle Jean, former Governor General of Canada, visits Woodlands as part of the Park150 initiative.

The Right Honourable Michaëlle Jean will deliver an address at 1:00 PM at the Woodlands Museum, followed by a visit to Park150 at 1:15 PM, where she will participate in a special ceremonial tree planting.

The public is warmly invited to attend this special occasion and welcome The Right Honourable Michaëlle Jean to Woodlands.

The annual Park150 Honorary Tree Planting celebration will take place on Saturday, September 19, 2026, bringing together community members, dignitaries, local vendors, and this year’s Honorary Tree Planting recipients.

The event will feature a farmers’ market from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the Woodlands Community Hall, providing an opportunity for residents and visitors to gather, shop locally, and celebrate the community.

At 1:00 PM, dignitary remarks and the recognition of the 2026 Honorary Tree Planting recipients will take place at the Woodlands Community Hall.

This year’s distinguished dignitaries include Her Honour, The Honourable Anita Neville, Lieutenant Governor of Manitoba, The Honourable Philip S. Lee, former Lieutenant Governor of Manitoba, Mr. Terry Sergeant, former Member of Parliament.

Following the dignitary remarks and recognition ceremony, the community will proceed to Park150 at 2:00 PM for the ceremonial tree plantings.
