St. Paul's Anglican Church was constructed in 1825 to accommodate the increasing population of the Red River Settlement. Known as Middlechurch because it was located between St. John's and St. Andrew's churches, it was consecrated as St. Paul's in 1853. It was a focal point for settlement northward along the Red River.
