Warm, inviting, and full of feeling, this program brings together two unforgettable works under the direction of Daniel Raiskin. At the heart of the evening is Concertmaster Karl Stobbe, who performs Ludwig van Beethoven’s Violin Concerto in D major, elegant and expressive music that unfolds with warmth and brilliance. Raiskin then leads the orchestra in Jean Sibelius’ Symphony No. 1, showing off the full colour and power of the orchestra.
