One of the province’s fastest growing cities and the largest center in the Pembina Valley, Winkler’s roots are in agriculture. It has become the shopping, entertainment, and industrial centre of Southern Manitoba, home of Triple E RV and other large manufacturing plants and foundries. The largest annual event is the Harvest Festival, held the second full weekend in August. With 25% growth in the past 10 years, Winkler has seen several new cultural additions to it's list of attractions. Bethel Heritage Park is the city's main summer gathering place. Located downtown, it features a huge fountain, historic storyboards, heritage trees, floral displays, plus live music and theatre in the park all summer. The new Arts and Culture Centre at 547 Park Street offers monthly art shows, children's and adult classes, and many special events.
