Boundary Commission Trail

The Boundary Commission Trail is believed to have been an old buffalo migration trail used by Aboriginal tribes and Métis buffalo hunters. A Manitoba Heritage Council plaque commemorates the Boundary Commission Trail - Turtlehead Crossing at Newcomb's Hollow, just south of Deloraine. The trail ruts are still visible where the North West Mounted Police travelled and camped in 1874. A kiosk and life-size log cabin replicate the land titles office which stood on the Old Deloraine site.
