Manitoba comes alive in the summer with a vibrant array of fairs that bring the energy with heart-pumping rides, jaw-dropping displays of talent and plenty of music to dance the night away. For the rollercoaster enthusiasts who think the more loops the better, for those who scream along to every beat on the Polar Express and for those who know all the tricks to winning carnival games...these are the fairs you need to get to this summer in Manitoba.

Niverville

1. Niverville Fair

June 7 to 8, 2024

The beloved Niverville Fair is getting ready for yet another exhilarating kickoff to summer. This year, fairgoers can look forward to electrifying performances from the Hunter Brothers, who will be bringing their dynamic country rhythms to the stage. The Off Axis Stunt Show will captivate audiences with jaw-dropping feats, while Jake Vaadeland & the Sturgeon River Boys will bring a toe-tapping, string-strumming good time.

2. Red River Ex

June 14 to 23, 2024

This summer, the Red River Ex returns with a spectacular array of entertainment and attractions, which of course includes an impressive lineup of shows, concerts (to be announced) and all your favourite fair food.

Marvel at circus performers, magic and comedy shows that promise to delight audiences of all ages. This year, there are a number of cultural celebrations to join into, so plan to go to the fair for the Caribbean Day Festivities (June 16), Indigenous Day Festivities (June 21) or the Filipino Day Festivities (June 23). Scream your lungs out on rides like the Mach 3, Mega Drop, Ring of Fire and the Star Dancer. For those who like to take things a little slow, try the Ferris Wheel, Double-Decker Carousel and the big splash at Niagara Falls.
