The Destination Management team works on both destination development, taking a proactive approach to develop a strong and resilient tourism industry that exceeds traveller expectations, and experience development, by working with industry to develop or enhance products, experiences or services to meet a demand identified as a market gap.
Northern Tourism
Travel Manitoba collaborates closely with a Northern Consultant to address the unique tourism needs of the region situated above the 53rd parallel. Focused on showcasing the distinctive allure of Northern Manitoba, the consultant actively engages with local tourism businesses and operators to foster partnerships that promote the diverse offerings of the northern tourism sector.
Hunt Fish Tourism
Travel Manitoba supports and promotes the hunting and fishing sectors of Manitoba’s tourism industry. The Hunt Fish team advocates for the sector and forges partnerships with the industry’s fishing and hunting lodges and outfitters. The Hunt Fish team markets Manitoba’s hunting and sport fishing with traditional and non-traditional media, and a strong social media and digital presence. The team also assists with coordinating familiarization (FAM) tours for media and influencers to raise brand awareness.
Travel Media and Influencer Relations
The Travel Media and Influencer Relations team assists industry partners to work with prioritized travel media, content creators and influencers to share travel and lifestyle stories about Manitoba in key domestic and international markets. Travel Manitoba works with industry partners to sponsor media visits; collaborate on influencer marketing projects; respond to editorial queries; and conduct regular communications with media through story pitches, press releases and e-Newsletters.
Travel Trade & Market Development
The Travel Trade & Market Development team promotes Manitoba as a premier tourism destination to travel advisors, tour operators, travel planners and the greater tourism industry. Travel Manitoba also works with the business travel network to position destinations in Manitoba as ideal for business meetings, conventions and incentive travel.
