Riverbank Discovery Centre and Grounds

The north hub of the Assiniboine Riverbank corridor, which is part of the Back to the River Master Plan, is home to the Riverbank Discovery Centre, Brandon and Region Tourism Centre, Festival Park, as well as the Ducks Unlimited Provincial Field Offices.

The Discovery Centre serves as the starting point for an extensive trail system that meanders through prairie grasses, ponds and makes its way to the Red Willow Pedestrian Bridge, offering stunning views of the river and a great opportunity for wildlife and bird viewing.

The centre also offers a souvenir and gift shop, RV day parking and dump site, picnic areas and interpretive information on the natural beauty of the river corridor. The area is home to many events that contribute to an active and prosperous community including a multitude of charity walks and runs, National Indigenous People’s Day, Canada Day Celebrations, family gatherings and much more.

Through the development of the river corridor we hope to create further elements that add to a beautiful space for the community to gather and connect with nature.
