Event of the Year - Presented to an organization, business or facility for hosting an event, conference, festival or gala that makes a substantial economic impact within the local community, attracts visitors from outside the community and creates an outstanding experience for attendees.

The nominee meets the needs of visitors now, while actively protecting and enhancing opportunities for the future.

The nominee has successfully implemented a strategic approach to ensuring diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging in their everyday business practices and workplace culture.

The product is authentic and promotes or advances Indigenous culture with goals to educate visitors and generate or stimulate economic activity in the region.
