When the temperatures drop below zero, Manitoba shines under the bright winter sun. Cold temperatures, snow and frozen lakes make Manitoba an ideal spot for snowmobiling, skiing and ice fishing. Dress for the weather (average winter temperatures are -12°C), but be ready for fun.

Be Safe In Manitoba

To ensure the safety of visitors and residents in Manitoba, operators comply with all health regulations and have put a number of procedures in place.

Please note:

  • Get Vaccinated: Getting vaccinated is the best way to prevent the spread of COVID-19 in Manitoba. For more information on vaccination for Manitoba residents, click here.
  • Unvaccinated travellers must self-isolate upon arrival to Manitoba and will not be allowed access to many businesses and attractions. To enjoy the best of our province, be sure you are fully vaccinated at least 14 days before your trip to Manitoba.
  • Wear Your Mask: It it recommended guests wear masks in public spaces whenever possible and may be mandatory in certain businesses. Please adhere to any current masking recommendations and requirements.
  • All visitors should carry physical proof of Health Canada-approved COVID-19 vaccination on their person for the duration of their trip. Visitors should be prepared to provide proof of vaccination at restaurants, museums, events and more, depending on public health orders currently in force. If a visitor cannot provide proof of vaccination, they may be denied entry and/or participation.
