FortWhyte Alive

Finding adventure in the city is as simple as discovering FortWhyte Alive. Watch as the city transforms into a natural playground just minutes from Downtown Winnipeg. 660 acres of forests, lakes and trails are home to bison, whitetail deer, waterfowl, and countless other wildlife. Explore the land by bike or snowshoe, or opt for the open water in a canoe or rowboat. Each season offers a new experience, with winter's ice fishing and tobogganing, summer's hiking and bird watching, and fall's spectacular waterfowl migration. Other experiences include dining at the sustainable Buffalo Stone Café, browsing the Nature Shop, and taking in The Interpretive Centre.

Open 364 days a year, FortWhyte Alive is the spot for animal and nature lovers alike. Admission fees apply. Guided group ecotours in English and French are available by reservation.
