Skate the Lake
Held on Minnedosa Lake, this 2-day pond hockey tournament is a combined effort of the families of our minor hockey players. All proceeds from the weekend are being donated to Minnedosa’s proposed new recreational facility. Teams of 5 compete in a 4-on-4 pond hockey format in games that have two 15 minute halves. There are no goalies, no refs and no limit to the fun. Players can lace up their skates in a heated, on-ice army tent and skate over to one of six rinks. While many of the adult players tend to have a rest between games, a lot of the younger hockey players choose to keep the skates on and play pick-up games or just skate on the cleared ice paths.
