Miijim: Traditional Foods of the Anishinaabeg

Exhibit on from June 1 – August 31, 2019

Explore traditional and contemporary food gathering and preparation practices of the Anishinaabeg with this immersive hands-on exhibition from the Lake of the Woods Museum, Kenora. Complimenting the exhibition will be a five-part workshop series hosted by the Women of Mother Earth Network, to take place bi-monthly throughout the summer. Programming associated the exhibition will be possible from contributions from the Community Foundation of Portage la Prairie.

Explorez les pratiques de collecte et de préparation culinaires traditionnelles et contemporaines des Anishinaabeg grâce à cette exposition immersive et interactive du musée du lac des Bois, Kenora. L’exposition sera complétée par une série d’ateliers en cinq parties animée par le réseau Femmes de la Terre nourricière, qui se déroulera tous les deux mois pendant l’été.
