Martin Penfold is a local artist living in Rural Western Manitoba.
He became interested in painting as a teenager, growing up in his native English countryside. Martin painted occasionally through these years, but always hoped that one day he'd be able to take the time to follow this interest more seriously.
He has spent his life's work as a stockman and farmer. The images he creates come from his working life- the sunsets, colors, the cowboys and shepherds. These are the inspirations that you'll see on his canvases. The countryside and a country life have been Martin's greatest interest throughout these years.
Martin prefers creating on larger canvases. He sees a painting as a window to another place or another life. An opportunity to share the experiences of his working days.
Opening Reception January 4, 2019 from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM.
