History of Country Music: A Concert with Smithsonian Institution Performing Artists Robert & Sheila Everhart

Don't miss this amazing concert, "A History of Country Music", a compilation of the songs of some of country music's most successful national and international stars. It's a historical presentation of the origins of rural music devoted to the 'real' music of the creators of America's rural music sound. From Jimmie Rodgers to Johnny Cash to Bob Dylan, Woody Guthrie and Hank Williams, go on a musical journey that celebrates the origins and sound from bluegrass and gospel to today's country and how each is rooted in the storytelling of the time.

This concert is a popular follow-up to the acclaimed PBS documentary series Country Music by Ken Burns.
