It’s time to put your courage to the test with new and unexpected twists and freakishly frightening features as you attempt to make your way across the haunted estate for an interactive ghostly adventure. With the goal of “scaring away cancer”, Grim Acres is a spooky, haunted attraction with 100% of the proceeds going to the Canadian Cancer Society. Make your way through an abandoned 1400 sq. ft. house and explore three floors and several theme rooms of gruesome terror, screams and nightmares before entering a horrifying barn haunt.

The Forbidden Forest & Haunted Hayride

One of the top rated haunted attractions in Manitoba is back and ready to scare! Head to Deer Meadow Farms to take the Haunted Hayride to the entrance of the incredibly eerie Forbidden Forest, where your frightmare begins. Be prepared to see 10+ horrifying sets that include The Paths of the Dead, The Wolf's Lair and Pumpkin Scarecrow Lane.

New this year, Heebie Jeebies might just be the most frightening 20,000 square feet that you'll ever walk through. Catch a glimpse at a variety of horrifying creatures (who literally FEAST on your screams) in the Field of Screams, or try to find your way out of the backstage of a freak carnival at Circus Freakus. Finally, if you dare, Meet the Inbreds in a barn of horror and aim to get back to the car ASAP!

FEAR4

Winnipeg’s most terrifying October event is back for another year, this time with FOUR different horrifying experiences. Make no mistake, FEAR4 is not your average Halloween Haunted House - this truly immersive experience is full-contact and NOT for the faint of heart. At the Zombie Chase, put yourself in the centre of a zombie horror film as you try to escape the warehouse without awakening flesh-eating zombies. Climb, crawl, run - but DON’T SCREAM. If you dare to try the Coffin Escape, druids will lock you away in coffins where you must work together with your partner in another coffin to solve riddles to escape the horrifying, tight confines. Next, the Saw Escape Room will test your limits and fears, you must work as a team to unlock the secrets of the room you are held captive in. CREEPY. Finally, the Murder Mystery, you must discover who killed Mr. Munroe with the help of trusted butler, Reginald Jeeves.

This small town Haunted House is divided into two time slots: from 5:30 to 7:30, the kids and easily spooked can enjoy a non-scare walkthrough, while after 7:30 the Haunted House kicks into fear mode.

The Nightmare Factory

Deloraine's large, 100+ year stone building sets the spooky scene for "The Nightmare Factory" - a fundraising event on October 26 to 28 that will bring you through a series of exhibits and scens from classic horror movies, brought to life by actors, lights and sounds.

Head to Fort La Reine to delve into the dark history of the 18th century in North American and experience what it was like inside a fortified settlement when a smallpox outbreak has settlers blaming witchcraft. As you follow the story line, it's up to you to discover the real cause of the disease and prove the witch innocent. A new in-house exhibit will enhance the event by providing historic accounts of how witchcraft was understood and perceived in the 1700's.

DRACULA UNEARTHED (REVAMPED) + Family Friendly Vampire Hunt

Bring the kids and set out on a Halloween tour of the Dalnavert Museum as it is decorated for the season. The family-friendly vampire hunt includes and activity and a treat! For an older audience, be immersed in Bram Stoker's Dracula and act as a story archivist as you uncover journals, conversations, articles and artifacts scattered throughout the Victorian mansion. This revamped version of DRACULA UNEARTHED includes more rooms, more interaction and more spooky encounters.

It’s terror on the high seas 30 minutes north of Winnipeg, where the Halloween Haunt gives you a chance to explore the decks of a bona fide ghost ship. The M.S. Lady Canadian is recommended for those who spook easily, while the S.S. Keenora boasts ghoulish beasties around every corner (it looks horrifically frightening). And if you fancy yourself a caramel apple or treat, head to the M.S. Joe Simpson!
