The Roaring 20s

As we head into a new decade of the 20s, why not celebrate by reminiscing on the1920s? Casey's Inn in Lac du Bonnet is encouraging everyone to come dressed in their best roaring 20s outfit to ring in the new year. If you're looking for something that combines today's modern beats and music of years past, then MEMETIC's Roaring 2020s NYE party at the Royal Albert Arms in Winnipeg will be the right fit for you. They'll be playing the finest "retro future dancefloor grooves" to countdown into the new year.

Y2K 2020 edition

Club 200 is ringing in the new year with a look back at the terror (maybe that's a little dramatic) of Y2K 20 years ago! The DJ will be spinning all the best hits from the 2000s and some of Winnipeg's best drag stars will be there to toast the new year at midnight.

Feelin' the 70s funk

The Park Theatre hosts a decade themed New Year's Eve party every year and in 2019 they're feeling funky as they head into the countdown with bell bottom jeans and the groovy tunes of the 70s.

Hang out at The Forks

The Forks is a great place to be year round, but on New Year's Eve it's even more special. If you've got little ones, join the family countdown and mini fireworks at 8 p.m. or stay up for the grand fireworks spectacle at midnight.

Bright lights at the zoo

The Zoo Lights Festival has been a huge hit this month and will wrap up on January 5th, 2020. If you haven't had the chance to see it yet, or even if you have, New Year's Eve will be an amazing time to take part in the festivities at the Assiniboine Park Zoo. In addition to the incredible light displays there will be live music from Red Moon Road, drag performances and workshops, fire dancing, storytelling with local Indigenous elders and a late night party in Polar Town. This is a great even for those who want to enjoy the outdoors but still want a place to warm up when needed.
