The Golden Boy stands proudly atop Manitoba’s Legislative Building, facing north in an eternal pursuit of a more prosperous tomorrow. And now you can bite his head off. Local chocolate maker Constance Menzies and her team at Chocolatier Constance Popp teamed up with artist Denis Duguay to reproduce this provincial icon into a tasty chocolate treat.
While the original statue is 14 feet tall, the chocolate version isn’t quite so massive. But it tastes way better. The Choco Boy will be available for sale at the gift shop at the Manitoba Legislative Building as well as at Chocolatier Constance Popp shop in St. Boniface. See how the chocolate Golden Boy came to be in this video from CTV News.
