Start your week with an invigorating walk through Winnipeg with some new friends at the Prairie Pathfinders Walking Club. Join the club on their Monday morning walks exploring various neighbourhoods around the city.

Brandon's Music in the Parks

Feel the beat every Tuesday from June 2 to August 18 in Brandon with Music in the Parks. Starting at 7 pm, dance along to the free performances from some of western Manitoba’s best musical acts. Bring a blanket or lawn chair for when you need a break from all that boogying.

Hermetic Code Tour

After you’ve checked out the Canadian Museum for Human Rights during their extended Wednesday hours, learn all about the secrets of Manitoba’s Legislative Building on the Hermetic Code Tour. Discover the Masonic symbols and numerological codes hidden in plain sight. The tours are offered every Wednesday from May 6 to October 14.

The Pint

Being thisclose to the weekend is reason enough to celebrate. Winnipeg’s newest pub, The Pint offers a Thursday night special on what else, pints! Plus, their 40-way rice bowls are also on special, so make it a night out and start the weekend early.

Integrity Foods Pizza NIght

Friday is pizza night at Integrity Foods, an artisan bakery and farm just outside Riverton. From the third weekend in June until the third weekend in September, enjoy a custom ordered pizza cooked in Hildegard – the outdoor brick oven. Have a picnic on the farm while savouring your bison pepperoni, garden vegetable and Manitoba-made Bothwell cheese pizza.

Arnes Market Gardens

Saturday is market day – farmers’ market day. While Manitoba’s biggest one is the St. Norbert Farmers’ Market (opening at 8 am starting May 16), the Arnes Market Garden (just north of Gimli) is becoming a favourite stop for cottagers and city slickers. This converted family farm features all the market staples of local produce, fresh baking, and handmade crafts and art. Come early (the market opens at 9 am on Saturdays and 10 am on Sundays starting in May), because vendors sell out quickly. See a list of all the farmers’ markets around the province.

WAG Family Sunday

The next Family Sunday at the Winnipeg Art Gallery on May 24 will introduce you to the gods, goddesses and heroes of ancient Greet mythology, as the WAG presents Olympus: The Greco-Roman Collections of Berlin. With over 160 pieces of classical antiquities, embark on an Odyssey adventure through the galleries for only $10 per family!
