Explore Manitoba’s role in WWII at the Commonwealth Air Training Plan Museum

The Commonwealth Air Training Plan Museum is the only museum in the world dedicated solely to the British Commonwealth Air Training Plan, also known a ‘The Plan’. The site was chosen as the host nation for air crews from Australia, New Zealand, the UK and the USA in the late 1930s and early 1940s. It was also the training ground for thousands of Royal Canadian Air Force members. ‘The Plan’ is often regarded as Canada’s greatest contribution to the allied victory of World War II.

This fascinating museum located at the Brandon Airport houses artifacts and objects collected during this time in history, as well as numerous airplanes (some of which are still air worthy) and vehicles inside its huge and airy space. These are some of the highlights of the CAPTM.
