Whether or not you believe that personality tests carry any weight, there's no doubt that it's fun to dig a little bit into the inner workings of your persona. The Myers-Brigg Type Indicator Test categorizes people into 16 different personality types - 8 of which favour extroversion. Unlike introverts, extroverts are primarily motivated by interactions with others - they actually feel more energized after a social situation such as a party or networking event. If this sounds like you, read on for 9 activities that will lift your extroverted spirit in Manitoba...

1. Dine on ice at RAW:almond

You'll feel right at home at the family-style dining table of RAW:almond, the famous pop-up restaurant that sets up on the ice of the Red and Assiniboine Rivers each winter. Mix and mingle with other foodies as you enjoy the multi-course delicacies of deer + almond Chef Mandel Hitzer under a gorgeous structure designed by Joe Kalturnyk. Keep your eye on the RAW:almond website for updates on tickets for the 2019 dining event.

2. Put together a team for the Ironman Bonspiel

Curling has to be one of the most social sports of all time, so naturally as an extrovert you will love rallying your friends together to participate in a bonspiel. The not for profit Ironman Outdoor Curling Bonspiel takes place at The Forks (February 1-3, 2019) and supports the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada. In between games, be sure to stop into The Common for a beer or wine flight!

3. Dance your days away at a music festival

Where do extroverts feel most like themselves? In the crowd at a lively music festival, of course (bonus points if there's a busy campground too). Our province has an abundance of music festivals to choose from, from perennial favourites like the Winnipeg Folk Festival to indie music festivals in small town Manitoba.

4. Mix and mingle at the museum

Feel nostalgic with an after-hours party at the Manitoba Museum! The next adults night is actually this Thursday, November 29 and features DJ King Cabernet, a cash bar and full access to the museum's newest exhibition, Hockey: The Stories Behind Our Passion.

5. Join into the fun at Celebrations Dinner Theatre

Extroverts who also love being in the spotlight may just find themselves centre stage at Celebrations Dinner Theatre, Winnipeg's theatrical dining experience. Play along with the show and there's a good chance you'll end up being part of the performance! On now: More Dirty Dancing ( until January 27, 2019).

6. Be a kid again at summer camp

Feeling envious as you send the kiddos off to summer camp? Luckily, there's an option for the young and adventurous at heart with FortWhyte Alive's Great Escape Adult Summer Camp. This one-day events combines everything you loved about camp as a kid: from archery to paddling to roasting s'mores! Keep an eye on the website for next year's date.

7. Float with friends down the Pinawa Channel

What better way to spend a hot summer's day than on a relaxing float down the Pinawa Channel? The picturesque ride is of course made better with great company, so be sure to bring along your best friends! Two companies currently offering tube rentals are Wilderness Edge and Eduvacay.

8. Cheer your heart out at a hockey game

There's nothing more Canadian than joining into the excitement of a good ol' hockey game, and we're betting that extroverts will love cheering along with fellow fans at a Winnipeg Jets, Manitoba Moose or Brandon Wheat Kings game. It's a loud, thrilling experience that will certainly leave the socially-inclined feeling more alive than ever!

9. Fly through the snow on dogsled

Why is dogsledding a good activity for extroverts? Extroverts will certainly relate and be inspired by the comradery, communication and teamwork that make a dogsled team and musher work seamlessly. And, introversion and extroversion aside, who doesn't love hanging out with a pack of dogs? Go dogsledding in Churchill with Wapusk Adventures and Bluesky Expeditions, or in Richer with Harness Adventure.
