We all know that May long weekend is the official launch to the summer camping season. Haven’t booked a site in one of Manitoba’s amazing provincial parks? No problem! Manitoba is home to plenty of fabulous family owned as well as municipal campgrounds and RV parks, perfect for that special summer getaway. Here’s a list of just seven options to choose from throughout the province.
There are over 100 acres to explore at this family-run campground offering seasonal and casual stays just off the Trans-Canada Highway east of Richer. Its location offers excellent access to Sandilands Provincial Forest, with linking trails for hiking, biking and ATVs. With amenities for both tents and RVs, this campground is also pet-friendly, even offering an off-leash dog park. Relax at the KaMaKi beach and organize a family game of horse-shoes. Grab a bite to eat at the Snack Shack open on weekends and pay a visit to the Shed of Games for board games, perfect for an evening activity or during those occasional rainy afternoons.

There is nearby access to the public beach with trails in the area for hiking, ATVs or horseback riding. Plus those with RVs will appreciate the sewers available at each lot.
