It's the most wonderful time of the year (depending on who you ask, of course), as the temperature drops a little, the sweaters come out and the air turns crisp.

It's fall of course, and you? You really, really love fall. You loved it before pumpkin spice everything was even a thing. You loved it before Instagram took it over. You loved it before it was cool to love it.

So for you true lovers of fall, we've got a list of a few things you need to check out in Manitoba as we move deeper into this most cozy and indulgent of seasons.

Comfort Food

Obviously, there can be no fall without warm, gooey eats from your favourite restaurant. Whether it's tacos or tapas, there are few things more satisfying than a belly filling meal on a cool autumn evening.

Look to the Skies

Download a good aurora forecaster to your phone (Aurora is a popular one) and pay attention for nights when the Northern Lights will be out to play. With 300 days a year of aurora activity in Manitoba, it's a regular and spectacular occurrence.

Go North

With its vast expanses of untouched wilderness, Northern Manitoba is undoubtedly one of the most spectacular places to watch the seasons change. Pisew Falls, Clearwater Lake, Wekusko Falls and so many more natural wonders dazzle with fall colours.

Lords of the Arctic

Fall also brings with it polar bear season in Churchill. It's during this time of year that these majestic animals make their way to Cape Churchill as they wait for the ice to form on Hudson Bay. This is a bucket list experience not to be missed.

Treat Yourself

Warm mugs of coffee, gooey pastries, warming cocktails--'tis the season to begin indulging.

Fall Colours

Obviously, it isn't fall without watching the leaves change. With the province's abundance of flora, it's not hard to find a breathtaking spot to enjoy the shift in season.

Get Cozy

Fall is inarguably the coziest of seasons. Whether it's shopping for new fall fashion, spending a night in a log cabin, indulging at spa, sipping cocktails in a darkened lounge, or walking among the trees in your favourite sweater just because you can, it's time to get your cozy on.
