1. learn about the Lockheed L10A Electra

Royal Aviation Museum of Western Canada | Winnipeg

Head over to the Royal Aviation Museum to see the newest aircraft in their collection, the Lockheed L10A Electra. A certified piece of aviation history, the L10A was the first aircraft flown by Trans-Canada Air Lines (now, Air Canada) when they began operating 85 years ago. What a beauty!

2. Wildlife Haven Open House

Get ready for a fun-filled day at the Wildlife Haven Campus for their open house! Happening September 23-24 from 9:00 AM to 4:30 PM. The doors have opened and you're invited to see all that Wildlife Haven has to offer. Experience a behind-the-scenes tour of the Wildlife Veterinary Hospital, enjoy fun interactive activities for kids, and meet live wildlife ambassadors like owls, vultures, hawks and reptiles! Tickets are $10/per person and kids two and under are free.

The Winnipeg Wine Festival is back! Enjoy a week of wine-down events, a gala dinner and auction, and a public tasting! This free event is an interactive tour of Selkirk that features historical figures which have had a lasting impact on the evolution of Selkirk. This years featured historical figures and places are Robert Smith, Chuck Norquay, The Grabowski Family, The Barn, and The Selkirk Fire Department! During Selkirk Comes Alive, you'll have five hours to visit five destinations and have fun while doing so. Follow the map guidelines in your passport to know which location to travel to next!

Come and cheer on the University of Manitoba Bisons football and women's soccer teams during Homecoming 2022! A free event with the promo code UMALUMNI22! Souris Scarecrow Days has been a favorite annual event for 31 years! With biannual town-wide yard sales on the Saturday from 9am to 1pm, BBQs, sidewalk sales, rugby, entertainment and of course the Scarecrow Competition!

Join us for Pineridge Hollow's Fall Fair! A family friendly weekend featuring live music on the mainstage, an outdoor pop-up pub by Cargo Bar, kid's activities tent, farmer's market, games, food, and autumn themed fun! Friday is free until 6pm.

One Saturday night each fall thousands of art enthusiasts, cultural animators and citizens of Winnipeg gather Downtown to celebrate and explore contemporary art. Nuit Blanche Winnipeg is a project of Culture Days Manitoba and launches the celebration each year. This free nighttime event is an incredible opportunity to get out and explore while experiencing many different mediums of art.
