We continue to stay safe and physical distance in 2021. Here are ways you can explore Manitoba safely both outdoors and at home.

A visit to Manitoba means travelling through Treaty 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5 Territory and through communities who are signatories to Treaties 6 and 10. This week in Manitoba peek inside some of Winnipeg's most interesting buildings, take a break at a festival retreat and feast on burgers in southern Manitoba. Here are 10 things to do this week in Manitoba...

1. Explore Souris

The Lessons from the Land interpretive trail is a pleasant 2.3 km walk through scenic vistas of the Cypress Creek valley. Located at the edge of Clearwater, the trailhead begins at the Lessons From the Land sign at the Clearwater Curling Rink. At a leisurely pace, the complete loop takes about one hour.

The annual art festival Proutopia is taking on a new format this September with opportunities to visit a working art studio, purchase art and meet guest artists all September long. Each weekend through the month a different artist will appear at Runs with Scissors studio, giving guests the opportunity to meet the guest and find their own creativity. 9. See inside Winnipeg’s most interesting buildings

10. Sip and sample local brews

Over 10 different Manitoban brewers will set up at Fort Gibraltar this week for the annual Winnipeg Beer Fest. Participants will get to sample beer from the brewers and participate in some voyageur games and activities while listening to music from a live DJ.
