This year the Manitoba Tourism Conference returns for a full day of networking and learning on content marketing on October 5 at the Viscount Gort Hotel in Winnipeg. This full day of learning and networking will take place after the evening celebration honouring excellence at the 18th Annual Manitoba Tourism Awards on October 4.
Keynote speakers include Robert Rose, Dr. Jean-François Bégin and Daniel Lemin. Robert is the Chief Strategy Officer for the Content Marketing Institute and his presentation will focus on the new era of marketing, one where the creation of value through story-driven experiences will be the focus. He’ll talk about the new types of people, processes and technologies that are creating the marketing department of the 21st century. The inspirational lunch keynote from Dr. Bégin will follow his journey as a surgeon competing as an ultra-marathoner to raise money for charity. And Daniel Lemin, the Senior Strategist from Convince & Convert Media and former member of the Google global corporate marketing and communications team, will focus on digital reputation.
Other highlights of the conference schedule include an update on the Connecting America campaign from the Executive Director of the U.S. Leisure Market from Destination Canada Suzanne Reeve, insight on digital campaigns from media agency OMD Worldwide, and a progress report from Travel Manitoba President & CEO Colin Ferguson. The Conference will also include a speed-dating style networking opportunity allowing for discussion and brainstorming around a number of topics related to the tourism industry.
