Now on newsstands is the Summer 2015 edition of Canadian Geographic Travel and the entire 84-page issue is all about Manitoba.

With a beluga whale smiling from the issue's cover, this special partnership between Travel Manitoba and Canadian Geographic will reach 3.5 million readers, many of whom are looking for the exact type of immersive wilderness and cultural experiences Manitoba has to offer.

"The Best of Manitoba" issue was launched on April 27, 2015 at a Winnipeg Chamber of Commerce luncheon, fittingly held at the Canadian Museum for Human Rights, which is one of the magazine's features. Colin Ferguson, President and CEO of Travel Manitoba urged the members of Winnipeg's business community in attendance to read through the magazine and choose one experience featured to discover - or rediscover - this summer.

"While the magazine is a great way to tell our stories to audiences outside of Manitoba, it's also a great reminder to those who do live here about the incredible experiences Manitoba has to offer," said Colin. "Maybe you haven't been to Riding Mountain since you were a kid or maybe you haven't yet had a chance to visit the Canadian Museum for Human Rights. The great stories in this issue will make you put those destinations on this summer's to-do list."

Over the course of the last several months, Canadian Geographic sent many writers and photographers to capture Manitoba's most-loved experiences. In addition to the magazine, Canadian Geographic also held a Manitoba photo contest, featured Manitoba in a Canadian Geographic Travel e-newsletter, and posted expanded online and social media content.
