Celebrate indigenous culture and heritage from September 10 to 14, 2014 at the 9th annual Manito Ahbee Festival. The festival has a long-standing tradition of bringing people together for an inclusive, engaging event that aims to unify, educate and inspire.
Be mesmerized by the beat of the drums during the International Pow Wow Competition, one of the largest of its kind in North America. Get jiggy with it during the Square Dancing and Jigging competition, held to honour our rich Métis community, their vibrant history and the dance style that has been mastered for decades. The Indigenous Marketplace and Trade Show takes place over the weekend and features the best works of Indigenous artisans and craft workers from across North America.
A highlight of Manito Ahbee, the Aboriginal People’s Choice Music Awards deliver an evening full of excitement as music and entertainment combine. One of only three televised music award shows in Canada, the very best of Aboriginal music is showcased and the talent of these incredible artists is shared with the rest of the country.
Whether as a participant or a welcomed guest, Manito Ahbee is sure to excite the senses and ignite your spirit! Visit Manito Ahbee Festival for further details.
