Migration Festival at Oak Hammock Marsh Wave a fond farewell to our feathered friends for the season at the Migration Festival in Oak Hammock Marsh! Right now is the best time of year to see the spectacular fall migration. This year's activities include:
  • Songbird banding - View songbird banding with the resident naturalist and see these little birds up close. Daily: 8 a.m. to noon (weather permitting)
  • Live birds of prey - Two organizations dedicated to rehabilitating injured birds will be bringing wildlife ambassadors for a close look at these amazing birds. Daily: 12:30 to 4 p.m. Prairie Wildlife Rehabitiation Centre on September 28, Wildlife Haven on September 29.
  • Horse-drawn wagon rides - Explore some lesser known parts of the marsh on a wagon ride. Daily: 1:30 to 5 p.m.
  • Rooftop fly-in - Head up on the roof to watch an amazing spectacle as thousands of ducks and geese make their way to the safety of the marsh for the night. At dusk, daily.
