It's Manitoba Time! Weekend planner for September 28 We are in for sunny skies and warm weather on a weekend that is bursting at the seams with things to do. (Culture Days alone has over 250 fun and free activities!) For this lovely last weekend in September, if you aren't already celebrating Culture Days, skipping over to the WAG's birthday bashpartying all nightexploring local art exhibits, or getting lost in literature, here are some more weekend ideas:

Migration Festival

Sep 29 to 30 | Oak Hammock Marsh Head out to Oak Hammock Marsh to experience the sights and sounds of our fall migration and to wave farewell to our feathered friends for the winter. Right now is the best time of year to see this spectacular natural event. There will also be horse-drawn wagon rides, live birds of prey, and you can watch the geese fly in at dusk from the rooftop.

Bomber game

Sep 29 | Canad Inns Stadium Football and fall go together like turkey and stuffing. Last week the Winnipeg Blue Bombers snapped their losing streak and they want you to come cheer them on as they battle the Toronto Argonauts. There's still great seats available. Find your tickets on Ticketmaster.

Cinnamon Bun Trail

The fine people in rural Manitoba have put together a map that will take you on a sweet journey to find the tastiest treats and homemade foods around. Yum, that sounds delicious, count us in!

Paddle Caddy Lake

Daily rentals | Caddy Lake, Whiteshell Provincial Park Paddle through rugged rock tunnels on the popular Caddy Lake canoe route. Watch for eagles gliding overhead while you meander past cottages perched along the tree-lined shore. Slip into relaxation mode with the rhythm of your blade slicing through still water. Soak up the laid back vibe of Manitoba’s cottage country.

Corn maze

Open Daily | St. Adolphe, Manitoba It's the perfect season to get out to A Maze In Corn and get lost in their corn maze! And after you find your way out of the maze, enjoy a variety of other activities like pony rides, hay rides, petting zoo, haunted forest, and zip lining! It's a great place for the whole family. Toba gives it two big paws up!

Stroll through the park

Any time | Any place We asked our Facebook friends this week, "what's the best thing to do on a sunny autumn day in Manitoba" and the resounding answer was "a walk in the park!" Whether it's a public park, dog park or nature trail, the citizens of Manitoba love to walk among the warm colours of fall. So, if none of the activities listed above whet your appetite, maybe just a nice stroll under the warm sun with the sweet sound of leaves crunching under your feet is all that is needed.

Enjoy your weekend!
