It's Manitoba Time! Weekend planner for October 12 to 14 The air might be crisp this weekend and you may have to pull out the mitts, but the sun is supposed to shine and there's plenty of activities to keep you busy. If you aren’t already watching the skies at the Planetarium, tasting wine and cheese at The Forks, watching The Brink at PTE or going on a ghostly tour at Lower Fort Garry here are some more fun things to do:

Winnipeg Symphony Orchestra

Oct 12 to 13 | Centennial Concert Hall Fight the crisp autumn air outside with the heated excitement and pounding rhythms of Stravinsky’s The Rite of Spring. The WSO is presenting this 20th century masterwork with unique choreography and dance. Find your tickets through WSO. After the show, maybe stroll across the street and enjoy a beverage at Winnipeg's new pub Fox and Fiddle.

Zombie Walk

Oct 13 |  Oodena Celebration Circle, The Forks Braaaaains are on the menu with the zombie walk this Saturday. Meet your fellow zombies at 6:30 p.m at The Forks. Did you know, despite their appetite for brains, zombies adhere to a specific code of behaviour? Please bring a non perishable food item for Winnipeg Harvest.

Halloween at the Hill

Oct 13 | Birds Hill Park Get your costume on, grab a flashlight and head out to Birds Hill Park Ranch to enjoy Halloween at the Hill. There will be lots of fun things to do for the whole family, including ghost stories, hay rides, a campfire, face painting and a ghost walk. Learn more about Halloween at the Hill.

Bomber game

Oct 13 | Canad Inns Stadium It's definitely been an interesting season for the Winnipeg Blue Bombers to say the least. Last week they took on Montreal and won and this weekend they will try to do it again versus the Calgary Stampeders. The game starts at noon and the skies are looking sunny - a perfect afternoon for football! There’s still great seats available. Find your tickets through Ticketmaster.

Fall suppers

Oct 14 | Locations across Manitoba Dozens of communities around our wonderful province are offering down-home cooking, local ingredients and regional delicacies at their fall suppers. These grass-roots get-togethers offer garden-fresh produce and main courses often prepared from locally raised poultry, beef, and pork. Home-baked pies and cakes draw crowds year after year. Here's a handy map to find a supper near you.
