Dalnavert Museum, Winnipeg Experience the wacky imagination of Charles Dickens in historic Dalnavert House! This interactive guided tour takes participants through a full house of Victorian-style memories straight out of the fictions of Charles Dickens and the life of Manitoba’s former Premier, Sir Hugh John Macdonald. Combining the history of Dalnavert with the imaginative world of Charles Dickens, Ian Mozdzen and Doug Melnyk will present an unconventional interpretation of the home and the novel David Copperfield. Fanciful, energetic, full of florid rhetoric, and often just plain ridiculous, Dalnavert Copperfield will have you hopping on one leg, flaunting a mustache, and singing “God Save the Queen” with a gusto only Charles Dickens and Hugh John Macdonald could give ya.
