Travel Manitoba is pleased to welcome two new members to our board of directors, Lois MacDonald, Manager of Riverbank Development & Tourism Services/Brandon Tourism and Nicole Stefaniuk, Financial Controller at the Winnipeg Airports Authority.
Lois brings to Travel Manitoba’s board perspective from Manitoba’s second largest city as well a voice for rural tourism. Since joining Riverbank Development & Tourism Services in 2001, Lois’s role has expanded to include management of the development of the Assiniboine River Corridor throughout the City of Brandon, delivery of tourism services on behalf of the City of Brandon, operation of the Riverbank Discovery Centre as a year-round tourism and interpretive facility as well as responsibility for Brandon First, the organization that works to attracts meetings, conventions and events to Brandon. Lois was the Chair of Travel Manitoba’s Leisure/Culture and Heritage Advisory Committee and previously worked in event coordination at the Red River Exhibition Association in Winnipeg.
Nicole joined the Winnipeg Airports Authority in 2012. As a Chartered Accountant, a designation she earned in 2004, Nicole will be an asset as a new member of Travel Manitoba’s audit committee. Nicole also brings perspective from the air transportation sector. Her previous work experience includes senior manager positions with KPMG Financial Services London; Manager of Financial Reporting, Cable & Wireless Communications Plc (UK); and Manager, Financial Reporting, Great-West Lifeco.
