Winnie the Pooh Art Exhibition Opens

Winnipeg's favourite furry son Winnie the Pooh stars in his own permanent art and artifacts exhibition at Assiniboine Park's Pavilion Gallery Museum. The new collection includes the only known oil painting of Winnie the Pooh by illustrator Ernest H. Shepard, a signed original copy of the book, pop-up books, toys and figurines. Shakepeare in the Ruins Returns Home

After a decade-long absence that saw performance runs in tents, on top a parking garage and in fields, Shakespeare in the Ruins returns home to its roots—the circa 1892 ruins at the Trappist Monastery Provincial Heritage Park in St. Norbert. This year's production, Henry V, runs May 31 to June 23.
