Travel Manitoba works closely with the Manitoba government to create a single vision for tourism growth and we are eager to get down to business with the Honourable Cliff Cullen, the Minister of Growth, Enterprise and Trade.
Born and raised on a grain and cattle farm near Wawanesa, Minister Cullen was first elected MLA for Spruce Woods in 2004. He has been involved in his community for many years on various community boards in Glenboro and is an ardent activist for the environment.
Minister Cullen is also a strong supporter of Manitoba’s tourism industry. He has confirmed his government’s implementation of Plan 96/4, a sustainable investment model for tourism marketing. The Throne Speech from May 16, 2016 stated the Government will be: “Championing tourism investment through Travel Manitoba’s Plan 96/4 and developing partnerships in tourism opportunities in Manitoba’s north.”
We look forward to working with Minister Cullen and the Manitoba government to build a competitive provincial tourism strategy to make tourism a $2 billion industry by 2020.
