Paddle your boat out onto the lake and look down - way down. The water in Clearwater Lake is so clear you can see up to 10 metres beneath the surface. Cast your fishing line and you might be lucky enough to snag one of the cold, spring-fed lake's trophy-sized trout.
About 20 kilometres north of The Pas, the lake takes up close to half of the 593-square-kilometre park, where you'll find beaches and boreal forests rich with the pockets of spruce bog.
On the south shore, discover the Caves Self-guiding Trail and explore the deep, cool crevices that can harbour ice even at the height of summer.
Picnic and take advantage of the day-use facilities at Sunset Beach or settle at Campers Cove of Pioneer Bay in a basic or serviced site.
In winter, skate, toboggan or take the eight-kilometre cross-country ski loop out of the winter day-use facility just east of Pioneer Bay.
