All the city’s a stage

The summer months in Winnipeg deliver a wealth of unique and captivating theatre productions unlike any you will find elsewhere. Our fair city is well recognized as a cultural oasis, and with entertainment like this, it is easy to see why!

Enjoy an evening at Rainbow Stage, the longest running outdoor theatre company in Canada, where the curious dome-topped landmark is nestled among the trees of Kildonan Park and the sounds of the soft evening breeze are punctuated by the exuberant applause of a captivated audience. Among the shows on offer this summer include A Closer Walk With Patsy Cline (on now until June 15), Tony Award-winning musical, The Producers (July 4 to 19) and family favourite, Disney’s Little Mermaid (August 13 to 29). For more information, visit Rainbow Stage.

Shakespeare in the Ruins is once again bringing a contemporary and fun flair to one of Master Shakespeare’s classic plays. The Comedy of Errors is brought to life this month in an amusing and interactive tale of mistaken identities and hilarious misunderstandings. Comedy of Errors runs now until June 28 at the Trappist Monastery Provincial Heritage Park. Purchase your tickets at the Prairie Theatre Exchange box office or at Shakespeare in the Ruins.
